Realisations.net - J-POP Project

Japanese COSPLAY Design

The 250 seat sushi restaurant in the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas welcomes visitors to a visual feast in the heart of Tokyo. With Japanese aesthetics in mind, the creators of Realisations.net conceived for J-POP an extended environment of imagery largely inspired by COSPLAY (short for "costume play", a subculture based on dressing as characters from Japanese comics and other facets of popular culture) street fashion.

Realisations.net - J-POP Project
j-pop project

The moving and intriguing portraits of milky-complexioned Lolitas and Gothic Punks give the space a resolutely urban signature, straight from the Hara-Juku district, the pinnacle of the Japanese street fashion scene. Sometimes inspired by Manga, sometimes by Victorian tearooms, the psychedelic geishas staged by Realisations.net transform the J-POP bar into fashion catwalks.

The amazing projections, punctuated by tonic graphic forms, compose a futuristic tapestry that transforms the space into a stimulating and fascinating visual experience.

11 plasma and 3 two-sided 5' by 8' screens, continuously display a 40 minutes original photographic program, filled with captivating hues, saturated powder blue, candy pink and white, recalling the J-POP logo, also designed by Realisations.net.
